PART – 1

1.      Define and explain the following terms:

a)      Estate

b)      Assessment circle

c)      Land lord

d)      Khasra Number


2.      Discuss in detail the grounds of dismissal of lambardar.

3.      What is Record of Rights? Discuss documents included in it.

4.      Define the term “Assessment.” Discuss the lands exempted from the Payment of Land Revenue.

5.      Enumerate various modes of recovery of arrears of land revenue and discuss any of them which consider most appropriate.

6.      Discuss the law relating to arbitration under Land Revenue Act 1967.

7.      Discuss the law relating to fixation of boundary line between rive rain estates.

Also highlight the effect of such boundary.

8.      Discuss the law relating to Review under the LAND Revenue Act 1967.

9.      Discuss the law relating to establishment of occupancy rights under the Punjab Tenancy act 1887.

10.  Analyze various provisions relating to ejectment of tenants and also state the restrictions imposed on such ejectment.

2.       What is the procedure for the service of Summons, Notices, and Proclamations under the Land Revenue Act?

3.       Land Revenue is joint and several liability of all the shareholders of the holding. Explain. What are the various means for the recovery of arrears of land                     revenue?

4.       What are the documents included in the Record of Rights? When it is prepared and what is the evedenciary value of entries in the record of rights?

5.       What is the procedure for partitioning of joint holding? Explain in detail with particular reference to the areas which are excluded from the purview of                       Partition.

6.       What is the procedure for incorporating change of ownership in the revenue record? Discuss the responsibility of Revenue Patwari in this behalf.

7.       What are grounds on which a non-occupancy tenant for a fixed term can be ejected from his tenancy?

8.       What are the classes of occupancy tenants under the Tenancy Act? What changes have been made in this behalf?

Part III

9.       Time is of essence in exercise of the right of Pre Emption, explain with reference to various Talibs, necessary for the exercise of this right.

10.   What are powers of the court in determining the fair market price of the property under Pre- Emption?

4.       Discuss the procedure for the sale of holding of the defaulter for the recovery of arrears of Land Revenue.

5.       What is the “question of title”? Discuss the procedure to be observed in case of such question.

6.       Discuss in detail the law relating to “Review and Revision “under Land Revenue Act 1967.

10.   Write comprehensive note on the various “Talibs” (Demands), their importance, and timings for establishing the right of Pre-Emption.
